President’s Letter July 2023
Dear Seattle Metals Guild Members,
Happy July! I can’t believe summer is finally here.
Thanks to everyone who came to the General Meeting on June 4th! Due to a last minute change of plans we held it at Pratt Fine Arts Center - Thanks Monica for your help! We had inspiring presentations by our Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient, Andy Cooperman, and our Emerging Artist Grant Recipient, Michelle Lierre.
I have some exciting news to share! I am absolutely thrilled to announce that we have officially launched our revamped website for the Seattle Metals Guild. (Sorry it wasn’t quite ready last time I announced this) Our website has undergone a complete transformation, resulting in a more user-friendly and visually appealing experience. With this upgrade, you now have convenient access to valuable resources, the latest updates on guild activities, and the opportunity to browse through our members' impressive portfolios, all conveniently located in one place. I warmly invite you to visit our newly launched website at www.seattlemetalsguild.org.We highly value your feedback, so please don't hesitate to share your thoughts with us.
Mark your calendars for the upcoming Seattle Metals Guild Symposium taking place on October 7th, 2023. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Symposium committee for their diligent efforts in organizing this event! The list of presenters is allllllmost ready to share - and it’s gonna be so great. (Actually I just realized you can already see a sneak peak of it on our website)
Thanks for reading. Hope you have a wonderful July and hope you see you at the next metals mixer on Wednesday July 19th. See more here: https://www.seattlemetalsguild.org/program-and-events
