Laney Clark
Vice President
Along with serving as the Vice-President of the Guild, Laney has been an artist in one form or another all her life. Raised by a "jack of all trades" artist (her mom) and a prolific writer (her dad), there was no escaping it. When she was 18 years old she took a beginning jewelry making class at a city parks and rec facility and that was all it took. 30 plus years later, she’s still piercing silver with her jeweler's saw and setting beautiful gemstones that she’s collected over the last 3 decades. Laney has been a full time, “this is her day job" artist for the last 15 years. She currently sells at the Olympia Farmers Market weekly and travels Western Washington in the Summer and Holiday season doing art fairs. She loves to share her knowledge with others and enjoys teaching when the opportunity arises.

Micki Lippe
Board Member Emeritus
Micki Lippe founded the Seattle Metals Guild in 1989, when she also served as its first President. She began the Women's Shelter Jewelry Project in 1999, which has since spun off to become its own successful organization. She also served as President of the Society of North American Goldsmiths in 2000. Having enjoyed multiple exhibitions at galleries and museums around the US—including a solo exhibition of her work at the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art in 2023—Micki is a celebrated and beloved art jeweler.
Micki now serves the Seattle Metals Guild as a Board Member Emeritus, which means she's always welcome and never required. Lucky her!
