From Wave to Shining Wave: A celebration of Phillip Baldwin and Shining Wave Metals
A 2025 Seattle Metals Guild Exhibition
The Seattle Metals Guild will be hosting an Exhibition to honor Phillip Baldwin and his contributions to the world of metalsmithing. Phillip was an extraordinary metalsmith, master of Mokume-gane, and long-term member of the Guild.
Each piece in the show will feature works made from Phillip’s extraordinary collection of Mokume-gane materials, produced as Shining Wave Metals. Layne Goldsmith, Phillip’s wife, has graciously offered to sell Phillip’s Mokume-gane to Guild members at its wholesale price, in support of this show.
Join us for the first in-person sale of Philip Baldwin's Mokume-gane material at Micki Lippe’s house on January 11, 2025, from 12 PM to 3 PM. (Bring cash!)
If you're unable to attend the in-person sales, you can still purchase Philip’s Mokume-gane at Reactive Metal Studio for the retail price.
